So many young people get labelled as “naughty” or “difficult” when actually they just learn differently, think differently or need a different approach. The system is far too quick to remove what it doesn’t understand, and that is the part that needs to change. These young people deserve an education that actually works for them, not one that makes them feel lesser because they don’t fit a traditional mould. Yesterday reminded me why I care so much about creating safe, supportive spaces for neurodivergent kids and those who have been pushed aside. It is time for change.
