I highly recommend Kumon, but when you have multiple kids it quickly adds up. I had a feeling I would find many similar systems in Korea! If your child has any gaps in math, I would highly recommend starting them on these books. If you have a 3 1/2 - 5 year old who is not yet in school, keep them ahead by starting now on level A. Visit the link in my bio to access the English version on the website, and if you don’t mind - when it asks for a message/note on checkout, let them know Akeeba sent you! I don’t have any affiliate relationship with this business, but I do want to reach out to them in a few weeks and see how many people ended up purchasing for my own data purposes. Just like in kumon, you want to start two levels lower than where your child is. We want it to be easy and gradually get more difficult. there’s no harm in starting lower, but if you start too high, you’ll leave your child with gaps of knowledge you don’t even realize. Your older kid can breeze through a couple levels without repeating the set. If your upper elementary or middle school student is average or below in math, start them on level C. Level C1 starts with adding 1, C2 is +2, C3 is +3 and so on. It seems too basic, but it’s not. They are learning decomposition, and knowing these addition facts instantaneously is going to make them much more strong in multiplication, division, fractions, in algebra. As a good test, ask your child, 55+7, and if they don’t say 62 instantaneously. We need to start on level C. And I really mean instantaneously as soon as you asked the question. Not three seconds later. Normally in education, we defined fluency as knowing those facts within three or four seconds, but this system will push your child to a higher standard. It is important to know these instantaneously, because as we do multiple step problems, if you’re taking three seconds to compute, it’s going to make your whole algebraic process take a lot longer which just makes the whole thing seem more difficult. If your child just started third grade or below, I would start on level B. There is algebra on level B, that stump upper elementary students, for example 6+🍎🍎🍎? #math #learning #educational #homeschool
