Matt is getting a little stronger every day. Yesterday, he looked at me with the biggest smile and said, “I can finally breathe again.” Those words meant everything because it’s been a long time since he’s been able to say that. Seeing him improve day by day has been such a blessing. Being out of work has been one of the hardest parts for him because anyone who knows Matt knows he never misses work. While it’s been difficult, I’m thankful he’s taking the time his body needs to heal. The new medications seem to be helping, and we’re hopeful he’ll continue moving in the right direction. Our calendar is quickly filling up with appointments between his cardiologist and other specialists, but we’re grateful. Every appointment is another step toward answers, better health, and healing. More than anything, I’m thankful that God is answering so many prayers—not only by helping Matt feel better physically, but also by giving him an open heart and mind to trust the doctors, follow their recommendations, and take this journey one step at a time. Please continue to keep Matt and our family in your prayers.
