I know it sounds ridiculous at first but you had to be in my shoes to understand how scary it was. When I was about 10, the first time it happened, I was sleeping on the floor and felt like something was throwing my plush Pooh bear directly at my head. But it wasn’t a normal soft hit, every time it struck, it sent a searing migraine through me, like two magnets crushing my skull, leaving me nauseous. Pooh’s face was pressed up against mine, almost touching. I didn’t think much of it and went back to sleep. The second time, it felt like someone had actually grabbed Pooh and whacked me with it instead of just throwing it. The migraines grew sharper. I cried to my mom, but she didn’t believe me and put me back in the room. The third time, it happened again, Pooh landed on my face, and I threw Pooh in the closet and closed the door. Of course happened again but it was a VERY angry throw and the closet was wide open even though I hadn’t heard it move. The room was dark, but the closet was darker, almost endless. This time the migraines became so intense I could barely walk; even the few steps from my room to the living room felt like they took hours. Finally, after I cried again, my mom let me sleep with her. To this day, I still can’t explain what happened. The memory is crystal clear, and though my mom remembers that night, she still doesn’t believe me.
