Today we once again come before you with humility and hope as we continue fighting for the life of Doreen, a brave 10-year-old girl battling a liver tumor. For months, Doreen has endured severe stomach swelling caused by excess fluids (ascites), along with pain that made even walking difficult. Her family has moved from office to office seeking help, but without financial support, access to specialized medical care remains extremely difficult. In many parts of Africa, lifesaving treatment depends on the ability to pay, and sadly government programs often take too long for urgent cases like hers. There is hope. 💛 Doctors are doing their best, and the treatment to remove the excess fluids is working. The swelling is slowly reducing, and her stomach is returning closer to normal size — a strong sign that surgery will soon be possible. If progress continues, Doreen’s life-saving operation is expected to take place in April or May. However, time is still against us. So far, through your kindness, we have raised $548 out of $2,600, leaving $2,052 still needed before Doreen can enter the operating theatre. The journey is not yet finished, and we cannot reach the destination without you.
