Every state is different, but most universities, community colleges, tech colleges offer sonography. You want an accreditation program and school to be accepted to work and take the state boards. Yes we take state boards to get licensed and being licensed will allow you to treat and scan patients. Research schools in your area and see what they offer and the requirements in your state. At minimum a two year associates degree in Texas is required to sit for your state boards after graduation. 4. Is it tough? Yes, it is challenging like any degree and school, you will be required to study a lot. I put my life on hold the last couple of years to focus on my career and growth.
