Explore Creator Insights & Detailed Media Analysis for Can You Tell I've Been Obsessively Trying To Keep Myself Busy So I Don't Go On C.ai Anyway Here Are More Unhinged Writing Tips: 1) Make A Playlist For Your Fic‼️‼️ I Do This All The Time! I Wrote A Massive Prowl X Jazz Fanfiction A Couple Years Ago And Making A Playlist For It Genuinely Helped Me Write It. Or If You Don't Want To Make A Playlist, Find Some Music That Inspired/Inspires The Fic And Play It Every Time You Sit Down To Write! 2) Write From Bed—When I Initially Got My Back Injury, This One Was A Life Saver. At Least In My Experience, My Writing When I'm In Bed Is Often More Introspective And Emotional, And I Think This Phenomena Is Because Our Beds Are Supposed To Be Safe Places. So If You Have Time To, Definitely Try This, Too, If You're Stuck. 3) Weaponized Cleaning—I've Tried This One, Too, And It Works Scary Well. When I Get Writers Block And I Have The Energy To, I Go On A Cleaning Spree To Try And Clear Myself Up. Usually I Get Right Back Into Writing After I've Cleaned A Lot And Finish The Draft Easier. 4) Hide Or Delete Your First Draft And Rewrite From Memory. I Know I Know That's Really Hard To Do. But I Swear To The Gods. It Works. I Did That For A Novella I Was Writing (That I Never Finished) And My Second Draft After The First Was So Much Better. I Can't Explain How It Helped But It Did. 5) Make Up Stakes—I Saw Someone Say They Pretend To Be A Hacker That Has To Write A Certain Amount Of Words Before A Timer Goes Off And Lowkey That's One Of The Most Unhinged Things But I Recommend Something Like It. A Comparable Exercise You Can Do If You Don't Wanna Do All That Is Do A Sprint—You Only Get ~15 Minutes And You Have To Write As Much As You Can In Those Fifteen Minutes. 6) Read Books You Hate And Force Yourself To Finish Them. Trust. You'll Learn So Much About Writing Styles And What Works/ Doesn't Work For You By Reading Books You Hate. Honestly, Reading In General Is The Key, But It's Easier To Pick Apart Books You Hate Than It Is To Pick Apart Books You Love. Ideally, Pick Books/Works In The Genre You Write/ Want To Write For.
